Connecting clinical expertise to patient care
NHS Emeritus Consultants is an initiative which connects recently retired, or partially retired, consultants from around the country with NHS providers and teams who need the help that only an experienced consultant can offer. The focus is non-admitted, planned care. Direct Clinical Care (DCC) activities may be performed remotely or on-site.
Whilst recognising that much activity will be in-person, the initiative aims to make optimal use of technology, enabling clinicians to also deliver care remotely, when clinically appropriate, fitting in as much or as little as they would like to around their other interests and commitments.
